Who is responsible for this site?

Your folder images stay on your device

FolderIcon.App processes folder artwork, uploaded files, pasted images, text, colors, and export settings in your browser. The editor does not send this content to FolderIcon.App, its analytics service, or Google AdSense. You do not need an account to use the editor.

Site delivery and security

When you open the site, the web host and content delivery network must process request data to send the page and keep it secure. This data can include your IP address, request time, requested URL, browser and device details, referring page, and security events. FolderIcon.App uses Cloudflare for delivery, caching, and protection. See the Cloudflare privacy policy.

This processing is needed to provide and protect the site. Request and security logs are kept only for as long as they are needed for site delivery, fault finding, abuse prevention, and legal duties.

Private site analytics

FolderIcon.App uses a self-hosted Umami analytics service at track.flxn.de to understand which pages and features are useful. It can receive the page URL and title, referring page, browser language, screen size, device and browser details, interaction events, performance values, and request data such as the IP address.

The analytics script does not set analytics cookies. It reads a local browser setting only to respect an analytics opt-out. Analytics data is used for aggregate site measurement, fault finding, and improvement. It is not sold and is kept only for as long as it is needed for these purposes.

Google AdSense and advertising

FolderIcon.App uses Google AdSense, a service provided by Google, to fund the site with advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google and its advertising partners, may place and read cookies or use local storage, web beacons, IP addresses, and other identifiers as a result of ads shown on this site.

Google uses advertising cookies to help serve ads. These cookies can allow Google and its partners to show ads based on your visits to FolderIcon.App and other sites. Consent and privacy choices

Where consent is required, FolderIcon.App uses Google's certified consent management platform to ask for and record your advertising choices before personalised ads or advertising storage are used. You may refuse consent without losing access to the editor. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the Privacy and cookie settings link shown at the bottom of the site when the consent service applies to you.

Contact by email and external links

If you email FolderIcon.App, your email address, message, and related reply data are used to answer your request. Correspondence is kept only while it is needed for the request and any legal record-keeping duty.

Links to services such as PayPal open another provider's site. Those providers process data under their own privacy terms once you follow the link.

Legal grounds, recipients, and transfers

Site delivery, security, basic analytics, and replies to messages rely on the legitimate interests in running, protecting, measuring, and improving FolderIcon.App, or on steps needed to answer your request. Advertising storage and personalised advertising use consent where the law requires it. Legal duties can also require some processing or retention.

Data may be received by the hosting and security provider, the self-hosted analytics service, Google, and the ad technology providers selected in the consent message. Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Their privacy notices explain the transfer safeguards they use.

Your rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may ask for access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal data. You may also ask to limit processing, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
